Day 65: YAYAYAYAYAY!

a) FAST TIMES AT BARRINGTON HIGH IS OUT TODAY!

b) I GOT A B3 FOR MY CHINESE!

I improved by three grades from term one, and two from term two! I AM SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY :D

Well, okay, my parents were still kind of disappointed 'cause I didn't get an A... But I'm happy with my results ^_^

I'm getting Fast Times... next week :D

I've read a review of it, it's pretty mixed... I hope that it'll be good enough for me =) I prefer listening to it on my CD player or mp3 player than the computer (i.e. on MySpace) :D

I'm excitedddd!

How's everyone's week so far? :D

This Heart Will Start A Riot In Me - 11 [11/15]

Title: This Heart Will Start A Riot In Me
Pairing: Joshayley

POV: 3rd, Hayley-centric
Warning: Sadness... Pretty G/PG.
Disclaimer: I do not own them and this is not real. No offence is meant by any themes in the story. Title from Paramore (That's What You Get)

Summary: Hayley attempts to protect her loved ones, especially Josh and her family, from any mishaps.

A/N: This is a day late, sorry guys! I hope you like it.

After Hayley made her decision, Jeremy and Sarah both sighed, while Ethan simply looked at her without making judgement.

"Are you sure?" Jeremy asked.

"Yes. I want to do all I can to protect the people I love," Hayley replied determinedly.

Jeremy and Sarah nodded, though they still looked somewhat uneasy. They had never met an angel who was that protective of his or her human loved ones. In the past, if there was such a situation, what the affected angel would do was to guard his or her given ward with all his or her power.

Sarah murmured some words that Hayley did not understand, while Jeremy held his hand above Hayley's head. Ethan stood aside, obviously not having any ability to perform anything like this, to bestow and take away power.

Soon, Hayley felt drowsy and weak. It was not long before she fell asleep, crashing to the clouds. Sarah helped her up and with Jeremy, took her back to her place in Heaven.

***

When Hayley awoke, she found herself lying on a bed, in a place at once familiar and strange. It was somewhere she had not been in a terribly long time, yet had been to every day in a sense. She let out a gasp as she saw her mother walk into the room she was in.

"Mom!" Hayley yelled in excitement.

She was so excited that she momentarily forgot who she was - an angel. When her mother, looking somewhat dejected, did not answer, Hayley remembered at once and sighed.

This room was her room. It was exactly the same as it had been in Heaven, but different at the same time. Perhaps it was because this was actually on earth, or because her family was actually here.

She had caught glimpses of them, of course, when she had been following Josh over the past few weeks. As far as she knew, the Farros were still quite close to the Williamses and her family was supportive of Josh moving on. But she had never been this close to them since hours before her death.

Haley remembered how she had been going out to meet Josh, after spending some time at Bekah's apartment with some other friends. The elevator had broken down and as a result, she was walking down the stairs. Unfortunately, it was wet and slippery and she had lost her footing at the top step - resulting in her death. She had not even been given the chance to say goodbye to Josh for one last time.

She almost cried at the thought, but did not eventually, after recalling how Josh had been able to sense her and in his own way bid farewell to her. Smiling, she looked up and saw her mother walking out of the room. Instinctively, she followed behind her.

What she saw next broke her heart.

Her father looked resigned and weary, while her two sisters no longer laughed and teased each other. The mood at home was undeniably sombre. She wished so badly that she had not died and left her family like this.

In the past, her father would be reading the newspapers every morning and commenting on them every now and then - and his remarks were always humorous, making her sisters and her laugh. Meanwhile, her mother would be happily bringing in breakfast from the kitchen and smiling at everyone. Erica, McKayla and herself would be teasing each other good-naturedly and chatting animatedly, bringing joy and laughter into the house even at early hours of the morning.

Hayley missed those times so bad.

Suddenly, Erica said, "I think Hayley is happy."

Everyone looked at her. Erica continued, "I think she's happy in Heaven. I have a feeling about it."

Then, McKayla said, "I think so too. Josh told us that... Hayley's been in his dreams. She's happy, and I think she's watching over us. She would be very sad to see us like this, wouldn't she? Can you sense it, Mom and Dad?"

There was silence for a while. Hayley felt touched, her tears leaking from beneath her eyelids. And then, her mother said, "You know... I think you're right. Hayley would be saddened to see us in this state."

"She would. She's always been so happy and caring, and she would be happy to see us back to what we were like before," her father said, a slow smile spreading across his face.

Hayley laughed aloud.

***

Before long, Hayley was following her sisters as they were being driven to school. And then she saw Josh walking along a path, looking slightly troubled. She went over to him at once, wishing to watch over him for now.

"I'm here, Josh," Hayley murmured.

Josh stopped for a second. "Hayley, I hope you're happy watching over all of us," he whispered to the air.

"I am," Hayley beamed, wanting to hug Josh.

Josh looked over at the cemetery, which was a few steps in front. He murmured, with a small smile, "I'll never forget you, Hayley. I love you."

Even if Josh could not hear her, Hayley whispered back, "I know. I love you too."

Alright, I know I said in the previous chapter that Hayley's presence may not be sensed, but because all of them are thinking of her a lot, they can all sense her. Feedback? :)

Day 63: Silver

Well...

In the Table Tennis Women's Team Final for the Olympics, Singapore got silver!

I'm majorly excited about that!!!

I know it's not a gold, but it's still Singapore's first Olympic medal in 48 years!

That has to count for something, yes? :)

It was pretty heartbreaking not to see Singapore win more sets and possibly earn us a gold medal, but hey, a medal's a medal.

I'm so proud of Team Singapore! 新加坡加油!

P.S.: I know I sad I'd update This Heart... and Marionette today, but... no time, it's 10 PM and I have to sleep. I'll try making up for it this week! I'm sorry!

This Heart Will Start A Riot In Me - 10 [10/15]

Title: This Heart Will Start A Riot In Me
Pairing: Joshayley, Josh/OFC

POV: 3rd, Hayley-centric
Warning: A little bit of sadness...
Disclaimer: I do not own them and this is not real. No offence is meant by any themes in the story. Title from Paramore (That's What You Get)

Summary: Ethan gets a vision - and this could be so much trouble.

A/N: This is a pretty short chapter, I know, but I hope you like it anyway. I'll be typing another chapter tomorrow! Sorry if this chapter is crappy... I feel somewhat uninspired right now.

As Josh walked back home, grinning childishly, Hayley found herself smiling as well. She was so happy that Josh was really moving on, finding happiness for himself. And she had definitely heard his prayers, and knew that he had not forgotten her at all, no.

There were times when she felt paranoid that maybe he was forgetting her while he slept, or at times when she wasn't watching Josh (like when he was on his date with Ana - she felt like a stalker watching them, so she didn't). But when he woke up and she automatically returned to Earth to watch over him, she knew how, really, he still loved her.

If there was anything she was scared of, it was Josh dying. But then that would mean that he'd be going to Heaven, to be with her. She would feel happy at being reunited with him, of course. But she didn't want their families to suffer his loss when they had already suffered hers.

More than anything, she wanted happiness for those she cared about. Sure, she wasn't physically there for them anymore, but she was still hoping that they were well, and happy. Even if she could not guard them like she did Josh, in a way she was still watching them.

And then she felt a presence touch her mind.

Jeremy's voice said, Please return now... There's something we need to discuss.

Hayley stole one last look at Josh, smiling upon seeing how contented he was, and returned with a few flaps of her wings.

She saw Jeremy and Sarah standing and looking somewhat grim, and there was Ethan, looking tired and disappointed. His eyes were a deeper shade of blue than Hayley remembered, and suddenly they flashed a pale, icy blue and back to his normal eye colour. Hayley felt confused.

"That happens after I get a vision," Ethan explained wearily.

"Right... What did you see?" Hayley said, fearing the worst.

"An accident. An accident that, none of us can prevent at all... I don't know what it is exactly... but it will involve someone you love," Ethan replied, looking somewhat distressed now.

"You mean... it could be... my sister, or Bekah, or..." Hayley swallowed and whispered the next name on her lips, "Josh?"

Jeremy nodded sadly. "It could be any one of them, anyone you love and care for. And this is going to make your duty as a guardian angel harder," he responded.

"Josh will, somehow, be affected. We're not sure if he's going to be hurt, or, well, be hurt," Sarah added, and continued kindly, "I'm sorry about this, child. You, nor your love, deserve to suffer such pain at this age."

"I'm going to be the best guardian that I can be. I won't let anyone get hurt... And especially not Josh. Never Josh," Hayley said out loud, promising both herself and her companions.

"Hayley... you can only guard one person fully, with your power. If you desire to protect more than your chosen ward... your power will be limited. There might be incidents where your wards can get injured and other... incidents where other things might happen. And... your preordained ward may not be able to sense your presence, and neither can you. It really depends on where you are," Jeremy explained.

"It can be a dangerous choice, child," Sarah said softly, though not unkindly.

"Ethan... you'll be protecting Ana, won't you?" Hayley said, after a moment of silence.

"Yes. With all my heart," Ethan replied without hesitation, conviction plain in his tone and face.

Hayley thought some more. Expanded and limited, or limited and expanded? She could choose to protect Josh entirely, or the rest of his and her family partially. It was a tough choice.

Finally, she took a gamble.

"I'll protect the my family, and the Farros."

My left toe hurts... I banged it against the bedside yesterday by accident. I'm such a klutz >:( And now it's purple and bruised. Psh. It'll probably be better soon, though :)

Day 62: When we met I was on my back.

If you've heard Fast Times At Barrington High over at TAI's MySpace, you'll know where the title came from.

I love "After The Last Midtown Show".

It's the first song I went to listen on The Academy Is... 's MySpace. All I can say about the song, other than that I loved it, is that it touched me.

I don't know how to explain it, but it just... affected me the first time I heard it. And definitely NOT because of my love for Gabilliam, but more like I... felt, if you get my drift. In fact I'm listening to it again (after listening to the first half of the album or so). It's just so... beautiful. I almost cried while listening to it, and now I'm almost crying too. I think it's brimming with emotions and brings out emotions in me too.

I love how much feeling and emotion there is in William's voice. I love how the rest of the band brings out the melody and rhythm of the song so well.

There are very few songs that make me feel this way, like Golden by Fall Out Boy and The World Has Its Shine (But I Would Drop It On A Dime) by Cobra Starship. They just make my heart sing and make me really feel. They make a little but beautiful difference in my life.

That's how much these songs touch me. Today I'm glad to say that After The Last Midtown Show by The Academy Is... is added to that little list of songs.

Marionette - 3

Title: Marionette
Pairing: Gabilliam, past William/other guys and girls
POV: 3rd, William-centric
Warning: IT BE SLASH! :D
Disclaimer: FICTIONAL, I.E. NOT TRUE. :) Title credit: Perpetua Ending lyrics credit: Cute Is What We Aim For ("Doctor")
Summary: William Beckett loves too deeply for his own good. In love, he's like a marionette - easily manipulated. What happens when he gets his heart broken one too many times?
A/N: PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR INACCURACY. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT GOES ON IN HOSPITALS.

One Two

When William wakes up, the first thing he sees is white. The ceiling, lights, walls - all of them stark and white. Then he spots a familiar face in his line of vision. This face smiles happily, looking utterly relieved.

"G-Gabe?" William croaks, voice hoarse.

"You're awake! I was so afraid when you fainted after that little apology of yours, you know that? We rushed you to the hospital here, we were so worried!" Gabe says excitedly, fighting to keep his voice down in the ward.

"Sorry," William murmurs, voice still rough and scratchy.

"It's alright, bonito, it's nothing to apologise for. I'm calling the doctor now, okay?" Gabe says, getting ready to stand.

"D-don't go, Gabe," William pleads.

"I won't. Just... I'll get you some water, all right?" Gabe asks, nodding towards the large bottle on a table at the other end of the ward.

"Sure," William agrees, thinking that he really needs it.

He watches Gabe as he walks over to the table and pours a glass of water for the younger male. Then he walks back and puts down the glass of water on the bedside table, before helping William sit up. William, who doesn't feel hungry anymore but is still a little tired, takes the glass with his pale, slender fingers and sips slowly.

He's aware of Gabe watching him, concerned. William takes one larger sip of water before putting it back.

"How long was I unconscious?" William asks, his voice clearer and his throat feeling lots better.

"You were out for a few hours. You fainted due to hunger, apparently. Don't ever starve yourself again, cielo. I don't want to see you like this again," Gabe responds, running a few fingers through William's chestnut locks in an affectionate, somewhat intimate gesture.

William blushes slightly and then asks, a small smile forming on his pale lips, "What are bonito and cielo supposed to mean?"

"I won't tell you, cielo. Another day, though," Gabe grins. "And that's your first smile in days. You have no idea how happy I am to see that."

William wrinkles his nose in both annoyance and amusement, and Gabe only laughs softly, pressing his lips very gently to William's forehead. William grins wider and soon lets a giggle escape his lips.

At that moment, an average-height, middle-aged man wearing a lab coat - obviously a doctor - walks in. His blond hair is faintly streaked with grey and his blue eyes are fatherly. He smiles at the other two patients in the otherwise empty ward, and then walks to William's bed.

"Hello Dr. Cliffe," Gabe greets.

Dr. Cliffe nods at him, and then turns to William. "Ah, Mr Beckett, I see you've woken up. How are you feeling now?" he asks in a 'professional' sort of voice.

"Tired. But not hungry anymore, that's for sure," William answers.

His hands creep down to below the sheets, and he finds Gabe's warm hand lying there. He interlocks his fingers with Gabe's, seeking assurance from his best friend. He doesn't know why exactly he needs that assurance, but he really just wants to be certain that Gabe is by his side.

"That's good then. Well, Mr Beckett. You need to start eating regularly. Not eating for three whole days is a very bad idea," Dr. Cliffe admonishes gently. "What brought it about?"

"Um... I, er, broke up with my girlfriend a few days back. I felt really terrible over it and I simply lost my appetite and I didn't feel like doing anything else except sleeping and crying," William explains sheepishly, once-porcelain face starting to flame red with embarrassment.

Under the covers, however, Gabe gives William's hand a reassuring squeeze.

"Right. A failed relationship is never a good idea to starve yourself, though," Dr. Cliffe says, his tone now fatherly.

"Yeah, I know now. I was stupid," William admits.

"You should know. Listen to the doctor," Gabe chuckles.

"Yeah, yeah, I know!" William grins, although there is exasperation in his tone.

Dr. Cliffe smiles at the little exchange between the two lead singers and interrupts, taking a few forms from a file, "Well, you can be dismissed by tonight, Mr. Beckett.  You just need to get some paperwork done."

William thanks Dr. Cliffe sincerely, and takes the forms.

"You're welcome. Well, that's about it. And there were a few of your friends waiting outside," Dr. Cliffe smiles, and walks out of the ward.

Moments later, the rest of The Academy Is... all come in, smiling widely at their lead singer. Sisky is the first to speak, asking, "So how are you feeling now?"

"You sound like the doctor, but much better, thanks," William replies with a smile to match Sisky's.

Then Mike's face falls and he says, "Um... Bill, someone saw us waiting for you... and she, er, wants to see you..."

William has an inkling of who this person just might be, but still hopes that it isn't her. Then, as if on cue, a young woman, looking about nineteen or twenty, walks into the room. Her dark blue eyes carry a look of relief and her dark hair is perfectly styled. Her clothes are all branded and obviously expensive.

William hardly manages to suppress the gasp of shock that escapes his lips.

"Lianna?"

I'll be your doctor, I'll be your cure
I'll be your medicine and more

Dun dun dun... How will Billvy deal with his ex? Stay tuned for the next chapter of Marionette! :P

P.S.: I forgot the ending lyrics thing >< The lines refer to Gabe, despite the literal doctor in this. It's like... Gabe is the one who 'heals' him the most, emotionally and mentally.

Day 60, 61: If you lie you don't deserve to have friends.

Title is in reference to a poem for Drama that we had to do today :) Line from "Newport Living" by Cute Is What We Aim For =)

Anyway... yesterday I was trying to finish my essay for English Literature and the printrer wouldn't work. So I forgot about the Daily Journal... anyway yesterday, nothing much happened except for my Chinese test, for which I THINK I scored a B :) And then for InfoComm, we were using Macromedia Flash to create a teaching aid for a subject we choose. I chose Area (for Maths) and used 100++ keyframes just to show THREE shapes. ><

Today, I think I passed my History test, it was... alright, I guess. Although I forgot quite a few things that I was taught ><

And during drama, I messed up a couple of lines :( But I reckon I did okay :) And for Science we were just copying down a whole buttload of notes... Bleh.

I stupidly left my file in the lab, and had to rush back after recess to get it. Luckily I returned to class before my teacher walked in... Maths was okay, and for History we finished the chapter like the fastest we ever did. Like really... And Chinese was okay, I suppose, it was just taking down notes and stuff.

When I came home I started to write a couple chapters of Marionette in my notebook. I'm posting chapter three tonight. Tomorrow I'm posting chapter 10 of This Heart... :)

Maybe I'll post a chapter each of the two stories on Sunday, too ;)

Day 59: Let's count to three.

That's a line from a song by Antic Cafe, they are a Japanese oshare kei band, for your info. :) At least I think that's how the line sounds XD

Anyway my Wednesday was... uneventful, at best. Except that during recess and lunch, my groupmates and I were rushing to finish our project. I can actually type pretty quickly :)

I also scored 16/20 for my English narrative test... I guess my story wasn't very good... The topic I chose was "Strangers", and it was about a boy who is not close to his parents, to the point that he considers them strangers. Apparently, "More complications to make them truly strangers would be in order" (direct quote from my teacher's comments). And I made one grammar error... EPICFAIL. BUT! I will improve!!!

I'm actually sneaking on 'cause I have a test to study for. I'll be off now :) See ya!

Day 58: Meh.

I can't believe how agonisingly slow this computer is *glares*

I switched it on at 8 PM. By the time it was 8:25 PM, I was still stuck on my homepage. Then by 8:35 PM, I managed to get to the comments and then it hung... or you know. Then I restarted it. By 9 PM I just got auto-signed in to MSN Messenger. By 9:30 PM I just managed to open up Firefox. By 9:40 PM it started to work quickly.

Just when I have to log off in 13 minutes' time...

I was hoping to type out a chapter of Marionette. I can't do it tomorrow, I've got a test on Thursday. And I also can't do it on Thursday, 'cause I have a test on Friday. So you'll have to wait till Friday for chapters 3 and 10 of Marionette and This Heart Will Start A Riot In Me respectively ><

And that's if my computer is fast enough...

Ah well. Good night, lovelies. I'll just be off to reply to my notes and then, I'm off to bed.

P.S.: It's 9:50 right NOW. So only 10 minutes left... oh dear.
P.P.S.: Rotation is AH-MAY-ZING.

We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands - ONESHOT

Title: We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands
Pairing: Gabilliam
POV: 1st, Gabe's
Warning: Slash, boykissing, little bit of angst
Disclaimer: Didn't happen. Don't own. Title from "We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands" by The Academy Is...
Summary: Two Williams? Was that supposed to be good or bad?
A/N: Based off the video for Big Mess... :) MUAHAHA

I really, really, really hate William Beckett sometimes.

Like when he's showing up at my door at 6 in the morning, all arrogant and cocky and smirking like the wise guy he thinks he is.

But then, yeah, I love him at the same time.

"Billvy? Why are you here at six in the morning?" I ask.

"'Cause I wanted to see you, Gabriel," William smirks, walking in with a very prominent sway of his hips.

I swallow and close the door, then turn to look at him. He smirks, sitting down on my couch, and then stands up. Before I can register what's happening, he's pretty much pressed up against me and kissing me aggressively. Meanwhile, his hands are threatening to rip my purple hoodie (not just any purple hoodie, my favourite purple hoodie) from my body.

I pull back in shock. It's not that I don't like this. It's only that this feels different. This... isn't Billvy. Not the William Beckett I know and love. This William Beckett is one hell of a lover. And I don't know if that's good or bad. But the William Beckett that I absolutely adore? He's sweet and gentle and adorable and not like this.

"William, what's up with you?" I ask incredulously.

"Nothing is," William whispers, still looking completely undaunted by my rejection of his advances.

"You aren't William. Are you some sort of crazy imposter? And anyway, aren't you supposed to be in Chicago, not New York?" I say, letting fear creep into my voice.

Because, yeah, I'm scared that this is some psycho murderer trying to kill me or something by pretending to be William. My William. Then I panic and wonder where William is right now.

"No. I'm William Eugene Beckett Junior, through and through. And we're in New York for the week," 'William' smirks.

Then he proceeds to sing Same Blood - my favourite song off Santi, incidentally - and then it's his voice. It's perfect. There's no one, no one who can replicate William exactly. Not his voice for sure.

"It's alright if you don't believe me, though. See ya, Gabe," 'William' says in a disinterested tone, and kisses my cheek briefly before he walks out of the door.

I just stare at the door through which he's just disappeared, and shake my head. This might be just some crazy dream, and I pinch my arm.

"Ow!" I yelp, and then I know for sure that this is somehow happening.

Rubbing my reddening arm, I pick up my handphone. Just as I'm going to dial William's number, the screen flashes "snuggle bud boyfriend billvy" (what?! He is my snuggle bud! And my boyfriend!) and the handphone starts blasting "Same Blood".

"H-hello?" I stutter, deciding to answer.

"Gabe! I - I don't know what happened just now... I need to come over. Can I?" William pleads frantically.

"Didn't you just come down and all but attack me like the sexy beast you are?" I blurt out, a little suspiciously.

"I did?" William says incredulously. Then he adds, "Crap, Gabe, I really have to explain something. Whatever, I'm coming over now."

With that, he hangs up. I sit down and stare at my phone, pinching myself again to make sure that I'm not dreaming. It hurts - a lot - and then I start to wait for William - the real one, I hope - to arrive.

I decide to go brush my teeth, since the excitement from ten minutes past has made it impossible for me to go back to sleep. Then just as I'm done, the doorbell rings and I go to answer it.

There's William, dressed differently in a faded green V-neck shirt and black skinny jeans. He looks terrified and worried. Closing the door, I instinctively pull him to me and hug him, whispering to him that everything is going to be all right.

I'm certain that this is the William I know.

I just know it.

"Gabe, this is going to sound really crazy, but... let's sit down first, okay?" William says, breaking away from me.

"Yeah, sure," I say, and holding his hand, I lead him to my couch.

"Okay, this morning, I was brushing my teeth. And then my reflection - no, listen - just... had a life of its own. It dropped the toothbrush and just looked at me all evil, and it punched the mirror straight through. I kinda... blacked out, and when I woke up I saw him - the replica of me - leaving. Then I tried to go out and look for him, to get my reflection back. But then I saw him being an ass to random people on the street and just... I don't know," William concludes, burying his face in his hands.

Two Williams? Was that supposed to be good or bad?

I rub his back soothingly. This sounds crazy... but it seems to be the only explanation there is for the whole thing.

"So... your reflection's gone? Is he like... some sort of super egocentric version of yourself or something?" I ask.

"Yeah... I think. Maybe," William says unhappily.

I grab a mirror that happens to be lying on the couch and bring it up to him. True enough, there's no reflection of him.

"See?" William says, starting to get teary-eyed. "Did he - did he come here? You said something about me - him - coming over."

"Yeah..." I say, then I detail to him what happened just now.

With each word, I notice William's usually milky-pale face getting steadily redder. "Oh no, no, he did not do that," he whimpers, then swears softly.

"Have you ever - er - thought of doing that?" I ask, watching his reaction.

Flushing even more, William squeaks in reply, "Sort of..."

I stare at him in disbelief. My Billvy doing this? I can't really imagine. But then, yeah, I wouldn't mind so much if it was the real William doing this. And then, taking his hand I stand and say, "Let's go."

"Where?" he asks, looking confused instead of embarrassed.

"To... where are you supposed to go to today? Any plans with anyone?" I ask.

"I'm supposed to go for band practice. And then we're supposed to play a show," William responds quickly.

"Then come on! Let's go!" I say, and we rush out of the door together.

We practically race to go downstairs and hail a cab, but it's some time before we do since there are already a few people up by six-thirty in the morning.

William curses softly under his breath every few seconds until we hear a lady behind us cough sternly. When we look back we see this thirty-something woman with a little girl holding her hand. We apologise together and then we stay quiet, but William is undeniably tense.

By the time we manage to hail a cab, another twenty minutes have passed. We go to Alex's place, since apparently that's where The Academy Is... plan to practice for the day.

We knock on the door loudly and wait for someone, anyone, to open the door. It's Alex who answers, and he is visibly confused by our sudden appearance.

"William? Gabe? Bill, aren't you like, over there?" Alex asks, jabbing his thumb behind his back.

"No time to explain, Suarez," I say quickly.

Before I know it, William is rushing inside and screaming, "Bastard!" at the reflection version of himself. Knocking down the other William, William (my Billvy) starts punching him furiously, angry tears streaming down his face. Everyone looks on, bewildered, even me, and then the Academy guys rush over and pull William away from, well, himself.

Just like that, the other William is gone. He's just... gone. William is in a heap, crying and sniffling. There are a couple of bruises on his beautiful face, and one of his fingers is bent at an awkward angle, but there he is.

I'm the first one to approach him. Kneeling down, I pull him into a hug and kiss the top of his head, even though it's an awkward position.

"It's over now, don't worry," I whisper into his ear.

"I'm - I'm sorry, guys. That me... it wasn't really me... that was like... my ego, only inflated a lot more. I don't know, just, I'm sorry," William mumbles, looking up.

"No worries, dude. At least we know now... even if we don't get half of what's happened," Sisky grins.

"Glad you got rid of your ego, though," Michael says. "Didn't like him."

"Neither did I," William smiles tiredly, and then he lays back against my chest.

"Oh, and Gabe? I'm definitely going to attack you, one of these days," he chuckles, winking mischievously.

Everyone else looks on, confused again. It's just the two of us, William and I, who know what exactly he's referring to. I grin and nod. Kissing one of the bruises near his bottom lip, I don't mind at all.

Because this William Beckett? Yeah, he's the real deal.

I couldn't think of a good ending line, eh. What did you think?

This Heart Will Start A Riot In Me - 9 [9/15]

Title: This Heart Will Start A Riot In Me
Pairing: Joshayley

POV: 3rd, Josh-centric
Warning: No warning. Pretty G-ish xD
Disclaimer: I do not own them and this is not real. No offence is meant by any themes in the story. Title from Paramore (That's What You Get)

Summary: Josh and Ana go on their first date.

A/N: *flails* I haven't updated in a long time again! Two weeks! *flails again* I'm sorry! Although I'm sure you'll all like this chapter quite a lot ;)

Josh and Ana only grew closer during the week. They spent every lunchtime together and once they walked home together. They had not achieved the kind of closeness each previously had with their ex-es, but they were slowly getting closer all the same.

The pair had also decided to go out together during the weekend. Both of them were excited, since it would be their first date together.

Josh thought of Hayley in the days leading up to the date and hoped that she was happy. He prayed fervently that she would be happy for him, that the dream was real and really did want him to be with Ana.

And Hayley was.

***

When Saturday rolled around, Josh got up a whole half an hour after his alarm clock (set to ring at nine-thirty, the date was at eleven) rang. Quickly, he went to brush his teeth and take a shower. Before long, he was back in his room, trying to decide on what to wear.

Suddenly Zac popped his head in and asked, "Hey bro. Getting ready for your date with Ana?"

"Yeah. Do you know what I should wear?" Josh asked, eyes still fixed on the clothes hanging in the wardrobe.

"You're behaving like whenever you were going out with Hayley," Zac chuckled, then said hastily, "I'm sorry, Josh, I didn't mean -"

"It's fine, Zac. I'm learning to move on. Don't worry," Josh said genuinely, turning around to smile at his brother.

"Okay, Josh. Um... how about that blue shirt that Dad bought for you last Christmas? It looks good on you," Zac suggested.

"Yeah... maybe I'll take that. I mean, we're just going to the movies, but I don't think I should wear something too casual..." Josh mused.

"Just the movies? No romantic dinner or something?" Zac grinned.

"Zac! It's just a first date!" Josh laughed, chucking a cap at his younger brother.

It missed Zac by an inch and instead landed harmlessly on the wall. "Ha! Missed! Have fun!" Zac said, laughing, and closed the door quickly.

Josh sighed and eventually chose a red t-shirt, and a pair of blue jeans. He also brought along a black jacket, just in case Ana got cold and didn't bring a jacket. She had told him before that she could be pretty forgetful at times.

Dressed like that, he went down to the dining room and saw his mother and his other siblings at the table. "Where's sad?" he asked.

"Your father needed to go to the office for a bit, he says he'll be back for lunch. Are you going out already, Josh?" his mother responded, sounding amused.

"I guess so. I'll just grab a piece of toast, all right? Bye!" Josh said, getting ready to rush out of the door.

"Joshie! Your wallet! You dropped it!" Josh's youngest sister, Isabelle, said, running over.

"Thanks, Isabelle," Josh smiled at his sister, getting his wallet from her.

"Bye, Joshie! Tell Ana I said hello!" Isabelle beamed.

"Us too!" Nate and Jon added, laughing.

"Don't forget me!" Zac called, just as Josh opened the door.

"Yeah, yeah, I won't!" Josh called back, and started walking briskly to the cinema complex.

In ten minutes he was there, and Ana was already standing outside, waiting for him. Josh ran over and asked, "Did you wait long?"

"No, you're early by a couple of minutes, actually. And I arrived just a minute before you. Don't worry, Josh," Ana replied, smiling.

"Yeah, okay. Let's go in, the show's starting at eleven-fifteen, right?" Josh said.

Ana nodded, and then they walked into the movie theatre. Meanwhile, Ethan and Hayley trailed along behind them, smiling at their charges.

***

It was already six in the evening by the time they had finished the date. They had gone for lunch after watching the show, which had ended at one, and afterwards they had gone to a nearby amusement park, followed by the mall. Josh had bought Ana a plastic bracelet, and Ana loved it all the same.

Then they had just walked around and window-shopped a bit, but they were never bored. Every minute was spent chatting and finding more about each other, or in comfortable silence. It was never awkward.

Josh walked Ana home after they had eaten dinner. They continued talking, mostly about the day and events that had happened (not many, although there were these two little kids who had bumped into Josh and kept apologising profusely to him until their mother came and led them away apologetically).

"Well. I guess we're here," Ana announced, as they reached the front gate of a house not unlike Josh's own, although it was blue instead of white.

"Yeah. Um... I'll see you at work then," Josh said, rather shyly.

"Yeah... Bye Josh," Ana said.

"Bye, Ana," Josh said.

Then, quickly, without thinking, he leant down and kissed her cheek swiftly. When he pulled away, blushing, he found that Ana was smiling shyly and her cheeks were flaming, but she did not look displeased. She waved and walked to the front door, just as Josh waved back and started walking away.

When he looked back, he saw Ana smiling at him from the doorway before she closed the door.

Oh, I think this was a pretty long chapter in comparison to the others... I'm sorry for making all of you wait so long, it was baaaad of me! I hope you liked this! :D

Marionette - 2

Title: Marionette
Pairing: Gabilliam, past William/other guys and girls
POV: 3rd, William-centric
Warning: Slash. And you know what comes along with slash :) Future violence.
Disclaimer: See the word 'fiction' in 'fanfiction'? Yes? See? Not true :) I only own the plot. Title and lyrics credits go to Perpetua :D
Summary: William Beckett loves too deeply for his own good. In love, he's like a marionette - easily manipulated. What happens when he gets his heart broken one too many times?
A/N: This will follow in the footsteps of A Beautiful Lie. Chapter links will be provided, in case you miss anything :) Oh, and this story is set in late 2006, going to 2007. :)

One

William simply lies down on the bed and tries to fall asleep, but he can't. He still can't believe that he has chased Gabe away. Gabe Saporta, his best friend and the one person who has managed to help him get back on his feet throughout everything in the past. More than anyone else he has known.

Over the past couple of years, since he's had his first boyfriend (and breakup, six months later), William has had quite a few breakups. And every time he's just so dejected after each breakup. Yet, there's Gabe. Gabe who comes along and helps him along.

The 21-year-old smiles slightly at the thought of the older man patiently helping him get over everything. And without fail, he'll smile, maybe even laugh, after Gabe visits him. And then within the next few days he's better and working towards putting his failed relationships behind him. He will be back to the fun-loving, cheerful William Beckett he usually is.

But not this time.

William curls up in a fetal  position, tears slowly leaking from underneath his eyelids as he recalls, again, just now's scene. It is only when an accented voice calling his name, asking for permission to enter the room, that he is jolted from his thoughts.

Wearily, William sits up and looks at the door before calling back, "Come in."

This time The Butcher, Mike and Michael walk in, looking utterly concerned. The Butcher stands by the door, while Michael edges nearer and Mike sits on the desk. All three of them look at William, each waiting for someone else to say something.

"Hey guys," William says softly, his voice indicating exhaustion.

"Bill, we're really worried for you. Gabe's been outside for two hours, waiting for you to calm down. He looks totally beat up and he's staring blankly at the floor, just waiting for you," Mike says. "Usually you'd be fine with Gabe around, but this time..."

"He's still outside?" William gasped, eyes clear for once. He's only heard the words "Gabe's been outside".

"Yeah, he is. Look, William, this isn't the William we know and love. The one we know gets back on his feet quickly, is a near-eternal optimist, and the skinniest clown ever. Not this sorry, depressed mess," The Butcher responds.

"I - I know. It's just that... I reacted so badly just now. I'm scared Gabe won't forgive me for chasing him away, and I'm scared that he's just going to leave me and never help me or be my friend or something. Ever again,"  William confesses tearily, curling up on the bed.

"Gabe cares for you too much to leave you on your own. He just wants to help you," Michael says, a small, encouraging smile touching his lips.

"Really? Please tell me you aren't lying," William pleads.

"We aren't. I swear. Go work this out with cobra boy. Go on," The Butcher affirms, smiling as well.

Unsteadily and slowly, William crawls to the edge of the bed and sits up. And then he stands and looks at his three bandmates, who smile encouragingly. William blinks back the tears threatening to leak out from under his eyelids and starts walking - almost staggering - to the door.

Mike rushes forward to help the sickly pale lead singer, but the latter shakes his head, holding up a frail hand. Mike steps back, concern written all over his face. William makes it out of the room.

He knows that he's weak, from the lack of food, and he's been sleeping and crying too much lately to feel anything else besides exhaustion and depression. However, he's certain that he has enough strength to go to Gabe and apologise, and to promise him that he will be strong - not just for himself, no, but also for Gabe and his other friends and family members.

When he gets to the living room, he sees Gabe looking up at him in surprise. Gabe stands up and rushes to William's side, embracing him but careful not to put too much pressure on his body - he's weak enough as it is.

"Gabe, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for chasing you away when I needed you the most and making all of you worry. I promise, I'm going to be strong. I swear I'll be the William Beckett you guys know," William mumbles against Gabe's chest, his voice faint but audible.

And then the purple in his vision is replaced by black.

A rose does not need a reason to wither

Opinions? Concrit? Anything? All are very much appreciated :D

Day 56: I suppose I'm scared.

There are... some things going on with a couple of my most treasured best friends. Not that we're fighting, it's other things in their lives. I'm really scared and worried for them. I can only hope that things will work out well for them. All I can really do is simply be here for them, and with all my heart I hope that's enough, at the very least for the time being.

You know who you are :)
I love you girls.
Forever and ever.

Day 55: National Day 2008

Happy 43rd Birthday Singapore :D

I feel so patriotic now xD (did I spell that right? :O)

I totally slept in today XD It was nice :) I need to catch up on my sleep, seriously XD Anyway I didn't really do much today except come on Buzznet a bit, go on the Gabilliam community at Livejournal and play Aveyond. I kind of have no life xD

I'm also at my cousin's house now. Well, it's not really a house, more like a condo apartment, but it's nice anyway. I'm using his laptop right now :) I love and hate it at the same time. I just really, really, really strongly dislike the keyboard. Forgive me for any typos... I'm not used to typing on a laptop keyboard. My arm's aching now :(

I'm writing up a new chapter of Marionette in my notebook, by the way. You know, Marionette is based on this scene playing out in my head on Thursday morning when I woke up. This scene involves Gabe, William and Sisky. You'll see this scene in time ;)

P.S.: This journal is in red, 'cause, yeah, Singapore colours :D1
P.P.S.: If you haven't, read my new fanfic Marionette (previous journal). Feedback is appreciated! :)
P.P.P.S.: Yes, shameless self-promoting at work here xD

Marionette - 1

Title: Marionette
Pairing: Gabilliam, past William/other guys and girls
POV: 3rd, William-centric
Warning: The usual: slash and all that. Also, violence and things like that to come later...
Disclaimer: I don't own them and this obviously never happened. All that belongs to me is the plot. Title credit goes to Perpetua, and so does credit for the last two lyrics :)
Summary: William Beckett loves too deeply for his own good. In love, he's like a marionette - easily manipulated. What happens when he gets his heart broken one too many times?
A/N: My new story :) I hope everyone likes it! It's going to be pretty short, I think, 10-20 chapters at most. This Heart... will also continue :)

William Beckett stares out of the window, his honey gaze vacant. Once again, once again his heart is shattered. It hurts so much that it does not even hurt anymore.

"William?" a voice calls from outside.

"Come in," William mutters.

His best friend walks in, dark eyes shrouded with concern. He sits down on the edge of the bed, looking at William, whose eyes are still glued to the window. He reaches out to touch the younger male's alabaster arm, but William flinches.

"Gabe, don't - don't touch me," William whispers, his voice breaking.

"Sisky told me to come over, to take a look at you. He told me that - that Lianna left you," Gabe says.

"Yeah, she did," William agrees miserably.

"You can't go on like this, Billvy. She's not worth your tears, bonito," Gabe says gently, brushing a wisp of chestnut hair from William's pale, haunted face.

"I loved her. I loved her and she used me! She used me!" William says heatedly, eyes blazing as he turns to face Gabe.

"Lianna was an idiot not to treasure you. I know that she used you just to be famous, but it's not going to last. You'll find someone else, I know. Someone else who'll really love you," Gabe says, pulling William into a hug.

"Like who?" William chuckles bitterly.

"Me," Gabe murmurs, so softly that William does not comprehend a thing.

"Say that again?" William asks, looking up at Gabe hopefully.

Gabe shakes his head and instead responds, "I'll get you something to eat. Starving yourself for three days doesn't do you any good."

"Fine then," William says weakly, shifting his skinny body away from Gabe's protective embrace and lying down on the bed.

Gabe silently gets up and walks out of the room. William stares at his retreating figure, a spark of life coming back into them. He's still searching for someone to love him, but he's almost given up hope. Every time he falls in love he gives his all, and he is completely devoted - to the point that he's blind to anything that his girlfriend or boyfriend might be doing behind his back, even if the signs are obvious.

Gabe returns, a piece of toast in his hand. "Sisky made this for you  when I came. It's still warm. Eat up," Gabe says, sitting down on the bed.

Tearing off a bit of the toast, he puts his fingers to William's lips, gently pushing the food into his best friend's mouth. William chews slowly, staring at Gabe with a single-minded intensity. Ever so slowly, he leans forward until he's almost nose to nose with Gabe.

And then, William quickly draws back, with fear in his eyes and his breath catching in his throat. He averts his eyes and scrambles back on the bed. Gabe looks bewildered, shock written on his facial features.

"W-William? Are y-you okay?" Gabe asks with a slight stutter.

"I don't know! I don't know, Gabe! What are you supposed to know when your heart's broken and you can't think straight?" William half-screams, half-laughs.

"Billvy, please don't scare me," Gabe pleads, holding William's fragile hand.

William, however, snatches his hand back and all but begs Gabe to leave. Gabe is reluctant to do so, looking hurt, and then he gets up and goes out.

"I hope you find what you search for," Gabe says softly, and closes the door.

William gradually calms down, his breathing getting steadier and his thoughts getting clearer. However his emotions are still overwhelming him, overwhelming each other. However, one of those emotions is not confusion, because he realises with a pang that he just chased his best friend away.

"I'm still searching," William whispers to the air, long after Gabe has gone.

Three graves, two bodies
The doll is searching for its master

I suppose William is pretty... crazy in here. I promise it'll get better in time!

Day 54: National Day Eve! :D

Today was interesting :)

Well, I only had to reach school by 9 A.M., so I slept in for about one and a half hours :) It was nice to catch up on a little bit of sleep! However, I had a dream about meeting Panic At The Disco and I woke up crying a little bit... I don't know why though.

Anyway, I went for PA duty again this morning, it was pretty fun, as usual. There were a couple of problems with the microphone, but other than that it was all good. Well, okay, I didn't set up the microphone stand properly >< Oops.

Then after that, we were to move outside the school for the National Day celebration! :D We were supposed to form a human chain by holding hands (all 30,000 or so participants!) and then we would simultaneously recite the National Pledge. It was fun, but somehow we didn't get to recite the pledge, oh well :(

Then we went home and I reached home by about 1:15 PM or so. I ate lunch and I fell asleep for the next one and a half hours XD I also finished Chuch Palahniuk's Survivor after I woke up. I thought it was great :)

I started on Invisible Monsters and I'm on Chapter Four, I think. I pretty much love the book so far, and I can see where some of the references made in Time To Dance came from.

How was everyone's day/night?

Day 53: Inspiration! :)

I've got inspiration to write a new fanfic :)

It's going to be pretty short, but still a chaptered one, and I think it's going to be kind of... twisted, in a manner of speaking. There were scenes that were just playing in my head earlier today, and, well, bam, inspiration to write!

I even know what I'm going to call it ;)

More updates soon. I'm also planning to write and post as much of This Heart... as possible over the upcoming week. I really hope I can stick to the plan!

Tomorrow I'll be going to school later than usual, 'cause of NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONS! :D

9 August is Singapore's National Day. It's gonna be a fantastic day *dances*

Oh, and my team registered for N.E. MATION III, an animation competition today. If we get into the top 40, we'll have to sacrifice our September holidays for the training workshop. And, if we're lucky enough to go into the top 10, we'll have another 3 weeks of holidays sacrificed in Nov-Dec for the production of our animation. But then, we'll get to visit a local animation studio, AND if we somehow win this whole thing, we'll get to go to DreamWorks Animation Studios, which is to say, the US! *cheers*

I'm excitedddd! :D

I shall be off to bed now. Goodnight, my lovelies!
